Is There a Railway Station in Chikkajala?

The Dodjala Railway Station is the main train stop for people living in Chikkajala and Doddajala. The South Western Railway team runs it.

Quick and Easy Access

The station is very close to Chikkajala. Most people take a short 5-minute auto ride to get there. This makes it a great choice for daily workers and students. By taking the train, they can easily avoid the heavy car traffic on the main Bellary Road (NH-44).

Train Routes and Timing

The local train track links Bangalore to Chikkaballapur. A few regular local trains and MEMU trains stop at Dodjala every day. These trains get you to Yelahanka Junction in about 15 minutes. Once you are at Yelahanka, you can switch to other trains to go to the main Majestic station or even to other states.

Yelahanka Junction

If you need to catch a long-distance express train, Yelahanka Junction is the best place to go. It is about 9 km from Chikkajala. This big station has many platforms, ticket counters, and direct trains to large cities like Mumbai, Chennai, and Delhi.

Bettahalsoor Railway Station

This is another small train stop located about 5 km south of Chikkajala. It sits on the very same local line. It serves as a good backup station for people living on the southern side of the Chikkajala area.

The High Court recently handled a plea about the Chikkajala and Bettahalasur metro stops. These two stations were dropped from the current building phase because of a lack of funds. The line will still pass through, but the train will not stop at Chikkajala for now.

Because of this, local commuters will need to use the nearby Doddajala Metro Station, which is still being built on schedule. This station will connect the area straight to the airport and the tech hub at KR Puram.

The nearby train stops and future metro links have turned Chikkajala into a major area for new homes.
